Based on experience gained from numerous projects and implemented integration scenarios, both for international insurance companies as well as industrial companies, COMPIRICUS has developed a standard adapter for creating interfaces for the import and export of SAP data (especially TRM and CML).
The adapter enables us to supply data efficiently to all internal and external systems, which can be used either with or without middleware.

We have designed the Financial Adapter to provide a wide range of possible applications:
| • |
Using the “client principle”, several interfaces for different data providers and data recipients can be set up and operated simultaneously in Customizing for the adapter.
| • |
The adapter encapsulates more than 60 standard SAP functions (BAPI) from the SAP TRM/CML module and therefore allows systematic access to a large proportion of TRM/CML functions and data.
| • |
The adapter provides standard Customizing for many integration scenarios and thereby significantly reduces the amount of time and effort required for interface implementation.
| • |
In addition, call points (BAdI definitions) at several stages of the import and export process enable individual programming logic to be incorporated.
The adapter provides the following import and export functions:
| • |
Market data (e.g., exchange rates, security prices, index rates, and reference interest rates)
| • |
Partner master data and investment master data
| • |
Transactions (securities, money market, foreign exchange, and derivatives)
| • |
Corporate actions (e.g., stock split, stock swap, etc.)
| • |
Payments for securities (e.g., interest, repayments, etc.)
| • |
General ledger account postings and account balances
| • |
Reconciliation of asset values in SAP
The following deliverable interface packages have already been implemented using the Financial Adapter:
| • |
Automatic supply of market data - request and import of exchange rates, security prices, index rates, and reference interest rates from market data providers such as Reuters and Bloomberg
| • |
Connection of external databases – e.g., automatic retrieval of business partner data during loan creation
| • |
Interface for importing purchase and sale transactions for securities, which are created by investment companies and transferred using SWIFT messages
| • |
Consolidation of special funds and the creation of IFRS fund balance sheets and income statements in SAP
| • |
Connection of trading and portfolio management systems to enable automatic, bidirectional communication between these systems and SAP TRM/CML
